Dr. Yan Wang

WANG Yan has been APEC Education Network Coordinator since 2015. She is concurrently Senior Specialist and Director for International Exchange at the National Institute of Education Sciences of the People’s Republic of China. Her research focuses on education policy, education reform, social studies of education and international studies. In cooperation with international organizations, government agencies, and research institutions, she has designed and implemented more than one hundred qualitative and quantitative research projects on various education topics. She has authored, co-authored and edited numerous articles, reports, journal and books on various educational topics. In her prior role, she was consultant at the World Bank, and curriculum specialist and coordinator of international programs at Beijing Education Research Institute. She holds a Ph.D. of education policy, administration and social studies from the University of Hong Kong, a Master of Educational Economics and Administration and a first degree in English Literature.
