Zeynep Turkmen Sanduvac

Zeynep Turkmen has been working in the disaster risk reduction field as a consultant since 1999. She is a member of the INEE Working Group as the representative of Mavi Kalem Social Assistance and Charity Association. She is Turkey’s focal point for Sphere Project. Zeynep also worked as Project Coordinator and Master Trainer for the Sphere Handbook in Turkey. Zeynep has consulted on disaster mitigation and disaster risk reduction with the World Bank/Istanbul Governorship, Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness Project, USAID/OFDA, Bogazici University, GeoHazards International and Central Asia Region Earthquake Safety Initiative, American Red Cross, The World Bank. She has been teaching the “Safety and Security Management for the Organizational Business Continuity Course” at Bogazici University and “Effective Communication in Emergencies Course” at Marmara University since 2005.
