How MOOCs Are Redefining the Role of Teachers

“MOOCs are designed in a such a way that they allow students to be peer instructors,” says Dr. George Siemens, an academic and leading researcher on learning. MOOCs have also changed the relationship between teacher, content and students. Technology allows students to access learning content anywhere. For Dr. Siemens, teachers need to focus more on curating the teaching and learning process and should spend more time to create the right space and context of learning.
