Keri Facer talks about the challenges for future education, in particular about challenges which future universities may face. According to her, education should take into account the shift to multiple forms of employment and occupation that are frequent at the present time. For her, the question is how we can create “an economy that allows us to express what it means to be fully human in all its complexity”. In this regard, the role of universities will change. For her, they should be a space for societies to think about, to debate and to understand their possible futures- a protected space where civil society dialogue takes place.
