Abeer AlYazji

Leadership and Economic Empowerment Specialist, UNDP


Experienced Leadership, and Economic empowerment Specialist with a demonstrated history of working on the national and international levels. Abeer AlYazji currently manages and implements holistic leadership and economic empowerment programmes for marginalized youth in Gaza. She specializes in designing and developing civic leadership and economic empowerment opportunities to help youth bridge the gap between education and employment. She has more than ten years of experience working with both Palestinian and American INGOs and organizations, including; United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Mercy Corps, TechLaunch, United Nation Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), and Islamic University of Gaza. She has extensive experience in working directly with marginalized youth and their families to ensure that they are provided with access to quality higher education.

She received her MBA/ Entrepreneurship from the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU), USA. She further received the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor in 2014 and was selected as one of the top ten teams who participated in the Aspen Institute’s 2013 Business & Society International Competition. Moreover, currently she is a member of the Global Shapers/ Gaza Hub.
