Velislava Hillman

Founder, EDDS


Velislava Hillman is the founder of EDDS, an organisation that works with enlightened governments, educators, education authorities and ethical education technology providers to put in place systems of audit and evaluation for technologies that enter educational institutions. For over 15 years Velislava has researched at the intersection of learning, education technologies, children and young people. During her fellowship at Berkman Klein Centre for Internet & Society at Harvard University, Velislava developed systems for accountable, ethical and sustainable integration of education technologies in schools and colleges. Presently, she is a visiting fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her work focuses on the implications of artificial intelligence in the classroom and beyond, and students’ epistemic trust in and perceptions of AI systems for instruction and learning.
